2. Update macOS

Keeping macOS updated ensures compatibility with AirPrint and HP drivers.
Go to Apple Menu → System Settings → Software Update

Install any pending updates

Restart your Mac after updates
3. Add Printer in Settings

Add the HP printer to your Mac’s printer list.
Go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners → Add Printer

Select your HP printer from the list

If not listed, choose Nearby Printers or IP Printer

Click Add to confirm
4. Install HP Drivers

If AirPrint doesn’t support your model, install drivers from 123.hp.com.
Visit 123.hp.com setup

Enter your printer model

Download the macOS driver package

Run installer and follow on-screen instructions
5. Test Print

Verify the setup by printing a test page.

Open any document
-
Click File → Print
-
Select your HP printer and print a test page
